Meggen Calderwood, Language Arts teacher at Leland Middle School, brought more with her to North Carolina than her family, she brought a passion for teaching and a passion for showing her students they have a valuable voice in this world. Through a mock Congressional hearing, her students spoke to panels of judges who asked tough questions, but none her students couldn’t handle.
